Carl Mason is a documentary and landscape photographer, from the New Forest. He has a keen interest in the interaction between nature and the built environment.
During his childhood he spent a lot of time with his grandparents in the Forest, during which he experimented on and off with photography. It was a trip to Australia and New Zealand in his 20’s that rekindled his love for the outdoors and creating photos. In the years following he has spent much of his time exploring and documenting closer to home.
Since the start of 2024 his work has focused on two long-term New Forest based photography projects, one documenting life ‘Between the Trees’ while the other explores the ‘Forty Three’ miles of New Forest coastline.
He enjoys sharing his work from the New Forest and beyond on his blog and his Instagram page.
