Recent work

The end of summer / early autumn has been an exciting period for new work. I had the privilege of being commissioned by WLAWilliamsLester to capture 3 of their completed projects located across the South. Starting in Dorset in late August and finishing in Surrey at the start of October via Hampshire in September.

The 3 projects, while all traditionally built, are all varied in style to reflect the local character of each of their settings.

Fontmell Magna consisted of 30 new homes with a mix of private and affordable homes with a nod to the Dorset vernacular with brick and flint detailing, arched brick window heads and varied roof lines.

Market Place saw the redevelopment of a historic former coaching inn site within the Ringwood Conservation area. It included the conversion of the former pub building into commercial and residential use with an 8 unit housing scheme at the rear which reflects the vernacular of Ringwood town centre. This project has recently won the Ringwood Society Civic Award!

Last but not least The Gables, Surrey 18 high quality homes referencing the Arts and Crafts work of Sir Edwin Lutyens, with steeply pitched roofs, sweeping gables, tall red brick chimneys and timber surrounds to metal windows. It was a delight to have the opportunity to chat with a number of the home owners who were interested in seeing which aspects of their homes were catching my eye.

We had three beautiful shoot days which helped to showcase the Architectural design of individual homes, the site layout, material selection and build quality achieved by the different Contractors. It has been a very rewarding couple of months documenting these completed projects, representing the culmination of years of hard work and dedication from all involved.
